AGFUND approves 10 development projects consistent with the sustainable development goals


The Board of Directors of the Arab Gulf Programme for Development (AGFUND) approved projects in line with the sustainable development goals 2030, covering the financing of Al Amal Microfinance Bank in Yemen to mitigate impact of displacement due to the Yemeni crisis and to provide decent livelihoods to the families through innovative programmes and products. The board also approved the support of the Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh, in response to a call from the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR). The projects include empowering battered women, educating mothers and children, supporting people with special needs and strengthening roles of NGOs in achieving development.
