2024-2025

The last two years have reminded us of the importance of relationships, and the role that they play in promoting personal and collective transformation.

Be it in classrooms, workplaces, homes, or community spaces, we have continued to see the same reality: many of the challenges facing our communities are not simply the result of a lack of resources or opportunities, but of disconnection. We live alongside people whose experiences we do not fully understand. We work with individuals whose realities are different from our own. We share spaces with people whose voices are often unheard. At en.v, our work has always focused on creating the conditions for people to listen actively, connect more deeply, and act more compassionately.

Between 2024 and 2025, we brought together students, educators, employers, migrant community leaders, recent graduates, civil society organizations, and community members from across Kuwait through dialogue, training, research, and community engagement. We created spaces where people could examine their assumptions, build relationships across differences, and develop practical skills for creating more inclusive environments.

This period also challenged us to adapt. The conclusion of long-running programs, shifts in funding landscapes, the closure of community support structures, and regional instability required us to rethink how we work and where we can have the greatest impact. Rather than retreat, we chose to deepen our commitment to collaboration, care, and community resilience. And we were able to keep on going because of the strong relationships and trust we had built with partners over the years.

The stories in this report reflect what we have learned. They demonstrate that lasting change often begins with small moments: a student recognizing their own power to create change, an employer rethinking how they treat their workers, a young graduate finding their voice, or a community member choosing to engage with someone they previously overlooked.

Together, these moments create the foundation for stronger communities.
