Fostering a culture of knowledge sharing.

Over the past few years, we have been engaging in in-depth research of civil society in Kuwait, recently completing two major mapping and needs assessments studies to inform future strategies.

Kuwait Civil Society Needs Assessment Research Study

In the summer of 2018, en.v conducted a CSO sector mapping and needs assessment in order to get a more nuanced and comprehensive understanding of the challenges, as well as emerging opportunities, within the civic sector in Kuwait. The study, conducted in collaboration with our consultants Honey Al Sayed and Iyad Kallas, engaged a total of 51 diverse CSOs in a series of in-depth one-on-one interviews and additional online surveys and recorded over 74 hours of valuable insight and feedback on the nature, roles and aspirations of the local civic sector.

Kuwait Civil Society: Planning for Impact

As part of its plans to develop a long-term capacity-building strategy for local CSOs, the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences (KFAS) engaged en.v to develop and implement a comprehensive needs assessment study of KFAS grantees (approximately 100 organizations). The study, conducted in collaboration with Dr. Melissa Langworthy and Abdullah AlKhoneini, included the facilitation of six focus groups as well as over 50 in-depth interviews with local stakeholders over the course of several months.
